FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What time are your services?

Q. Why does God allow pain and suffering?
A. We are not living in the plan for the world God created. Genesis 1 paints a picture of a place where God and mankind walked and lived together. However, Man and Woman fell. We live in a place that is affected by such things as sin, death, sickness and travail. This life is not an easy life, nor will it be until Jesus returns for His people. God did not promise to take away our suffering and pain. We do have His promise though, that He will never leave us nor will He forsake us. (Hebrews 13:5)
Q. Does God love someone that goes to church every week more than someone who never goes? A. God loves everyone the same. Gender, race, religion, etc. You can't do anything to make God love you more, and you can't do anything to make God love you less. God loves you! We know this because while we were sinners, Christ died for the ungodly (Romans 5:8). You can have a better relationship with God though, when you accept His Son Jesus Christ into your heart as your personal Savior and Lord.
Q. How do you know if you are saved?
A. God's Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are now the Children of God (1 John 5:6-13). A person
sometimes doesn't feel saved, but God's Word tells us that if we confess Jesus Christ with our mouths as Lord, and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we are saved (Romans 10:9) and we will go to Heaven when we pass on from this life into eternity.
Q. If I am saved, does that mean I am going to Heaven?
A. Jesus says that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Him (Jesus, John 14:6). A person who is right with God through His Son Jesus Christ can expect to go to Heaven should they die, or the Lord return (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
Q. What does the Trinity mean?
A. The Trinity refers to God: Three persons in one, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. In Matthew 3 we see Jesus being baptized, the Holy Spirit descending upon Him, and the Father declaring His pleasure in His Son.
Q. How do I know what God expects of me?
A. God expects us to live a holy life. Holiness refers more to direction than perfection. Romans 12:1 tells us to offer our selves as living sacrifices unto God. Living sacrifices have a mind and a will. It is a conscious effort I make daily to live for God. I learn how to live holy by reading His Word. Romans 12:2 tells us not to conform any longer to the way of this world, but to be renewed in my mind and heart, and then I will be able to discern better what pleases God.
Q. How often should I pray?
A. Jesus prayed every day. He habitually and religiously prayed every day. How much more should we pray every day? When a person is in love, their desire is to communicate as much as they can with that loved one. Because we love God, there is a desire to speak to Him as much as possible. Prayer is not only a time where we get on our knees, clasp our hands, and close our eyes. Prayer is also an ongoing every day communication with God Almighty, the Lover of our soul.
Q. What should I say in my prayers?
A. A good practice to follow in prayer is Jesus' prayer to God in Matthew 6. Most people know this as the Lord's Prayer: Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. (Open up your prayer with worship and praise to God and God's name.) Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven. (Let God know you are willing to submit to what He wants for your life.) Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. (After you have worshiped and humbled yourself, present your request to God and believe that He hears you and wants His best for you. Read Phillippians 4:6-7.) And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. (Ask God for guidance and spiritual strength.) For thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. (End with a spirit and a heart of gratitude and worship.) Amen! (Amen means, so be it, I agree!). Remember that praying is simply taking with God. There is no right or wrong way to do it.
